Kate Spade 2020 Planner

Kate Spade Mega Planner ($34.00) made for Barnes & Noble.

I’ve been lamenting the fact that I could not find a planner that works for me. I use my e-calendar too, but I prefer paper calendars for staying organized and on top of everything.

I wanted something better than my current planner. Amazon didn’t have what I wanted in my price range. I didn’t have any luck at Staples or at Paper Source. I also had no desire to spend $60 on a planner, apparently the going rate. I decided to walk into a Barnes & Noble not expecting much, but let me tell you their selection blew my socks off.

The planner has two pockets for holding misc. items. It also comes with one page of stickers. The sheet of stickers is not double-sided.

I settled on this Kate Spade planner because it has everything I was looking for. I need my planner for blog post planning, book writing deadlines, meal planning, shopping lists, day job-related appointments, physical activity, self-care appointments (this one is a brand new category as I’m exhausted and really need to take better care of myself) and a few other categories. So it helps to have a page at the beginning of each month where I can write down my monthly to-do items, any birthdays or other things to remember. Then I also need the monthly view and the weekly view. And most importantly, I didn’t want any extra bells and whistles, as all that extra stuff just takes up space, goes unused and is noise.

The planner also comes with monthly motivational phrases, but nothing over-the-top.

This planner meets all of my requirements and has nothing extra or unnecessary.

I am so pleased with my new calendar!

Do you use paper planners?

xoxo, Jane

  1. I really love this! It’s beautiful and so practical! I have to use paper planners. I have “so much” for each that I have to keep them separate. Last year I ordered my first Erin Condren custom planners and those are in that $60 range you mentioned. It works well for me because I can create exactly what I want and have it personalized, but I had done just as well with my other planners through the years.

    1. Thank you!! I’m so pleased with the pages in this one. I never imaged a designer planner would be useful. I was so tired of the other planners that weren’t working for me. You deserve that Erin Condren custom planner!!!

  2. Oh, that’s just gorgeous. I’m afraid my paper planning days are behind me now. After two years of buying hardcopy planners and falling off them just a couple months in, I’ve accepted that I’m now a digital calendar girl — sadly. But this is still so beautiful!

    1. Oh, no not sad at all. You found what works for you and that’s all that matters. I just learned through trial and error what worked for me. I’m digital in everything else (no DVDs..) 🥰
